for her Abstract in EUROMAR-2008:
DOUBLE-QUANTUM NMR OF THE FIRST PHOTOINTERMEDIATE IN VISION: BATHORHODOPSIN

Dr. Maria Concistre took her Degree in Chemistry, in 2004, at the University of Calabria, Italy, working on "the analysis of 13C satellite NMR spectra in anisotropic phases" under the supervision of Prof. Marcello Longeri. After a short 4 months project on "Conformational Analysis of small molecules dissolved in nematic phases" in the same laboratory, she moved as Visiting Researcher at the School of Chemistry, University of Southampton, working with Prof. Malcolm Levitt on "Long-lived spin states in High-Field solution NMR". She is currently a third year Ph.D. student in Levitt's group working on solid state NMR. So far, she is co-author of 7 publications in peer review journals of international relevance
