4-5 July: NMRCM Summer School

General Information

Saint Petersburg State University continues Annual International Symposium and Summer School "Nuclear Magnetic Resonance in Condensed Matter" (NMRCM). The fifth meeting will be opened on Friday, July 4, 2008.

The goal of the meeting is to provide a platform to scientists and students for use of all aspects of nuclear magnetic resonance methods and techniques as well as computational and theoretical approaches to the various problems in life sciences.

The program of the School following the programme of EUROMAR 2008 will contain lectures of famous NMR, MRI and ESR specialists

Location and transport

NMRCM 2008 will take place at the Petrodvorets Campus of Saint Petersburg State University. Lectures and oral reports will take place at the Conference Hall of V. A. Fock Institute of Physics. Participants will live at University’s hotels at the Campus. Information on the Campus in English here

Petrodvorets is a charming town, former summer residence of Russian Tsars, a place famous for its parks, palaces and fountains. Petrodvorets is located at the South Coast of the Gulf of Finland at a distance of 30 km from the centre of St. Petersburg.

We recommend the taking Metro (Subway) in order to reach transport for the University Campus in Peterhof:

The organizing commeette will meet of NMRCM-2008 participants near the bus station Studgorodok on Thursday, 3th of July, from 12:00 to 21:00.

Registration and accommodation

Registration desk will be opened on Thursday, 3th of July, beginning from 15:00 to 20:00 and on Friday, 4th of July, from 8:00 to 8:45 at the V. A. Fock Institute of Physics (Ulianovskaya street, No. 1). Please, take into account that buses 359, 404, and 424 will go to V. A. Fock Institute of Physics while 424a will not!

Accommodation will be provided at the Petrodvorets Campus of Saint Petersburg State University. Hotels provide single and double bedrooms. Keys will be given on rRegistration.
