Euromar 2009 - AccommodationThe participants of the Euromar 2009 confrernce can select from a number of hotels in the vicinity of the Chalmers Conference Centre. Information about the different options and the prices can be downloaded below:
Panorama is a high standard hotel situated just ten minute walk (1 km) from Chalmers Conference Centre. All rooms are non smoking rooms. The hotel offer facilities such as an excellent restaurant, internet connection and a well renowned City Spa.
Elite Park Avenue Hotel is a modern four star hotel situated at the main street (Kungsportsavenyn) of the city approx 10 min walk (1 km) or 4 min by public transport from Chalmers Conference Centre. Equally close you will find the cultural centre of the city Konserthuset (concert hall) and the Konstmuseet (art museum). The hotel has 301 rooms and 15 conference rooms. All rooms are equipped with wireless internet connection. Available restaurants are Park Aveny Café, restaurant Locatelli and the pub The Bishop´s Arms.
A friendly-family-hotel, 49 rooms, in the heart of Gothenburg. The quiet, tranquil atmosphere here will make you feel at home, and you’ll find everything you need here. Car parking is available outside the hotel or in the multistorey car park nearby. We are situated 200 metres from the Avenyn and 15 min walk (1,5 km) or 3 min by public transport from the Chalmers Conference Centre. There are plenty of shops and restaurants in the vicinity.
Hotel Lorensberg is located in the middle of Göteborg’s cultural and entertainment centre 20 min walk or 10 min with public transport (2km) from Chalmers Conference Centre. The hotel has 107 rooms, of which 64 are single rooms. All rooms are non smoking rooms. Wireless Internet is available in most parts of the hotel. The hotel has one conference room with a maximum capacity of 20 people.
Hotel Vasa is located in the centre of Gothenburg approx 15 min walk (1,5 km) or 3 min. by public transport to Chalmers Conference Centre. A family owned hotel that dates back to the 19th century. The Hotel was renovated during 2001 and in 2003 additional rooms was added. 48 rooms, with two mini-suites and two double rooms with jacuzzi. Guest relaxation area with a sauna and a conference room for up to 30 people. The hotel have a peaceful patio area and if the weather permits, you can enjoy your breakfast there. The hotel offers wireless internet connection, available in all of the rooms, free of charge. You need, however, a lap-top with wireless network card installed. You can also use our guest-computer to reach internet.
Hotel Flora is a small family owned hotel situated in the very centre of Göteborg. The hotel with its 68 rooms (all with wireless internet connection) is newly renovated. Plenty of restaurants and other entertainment are close by. 20 min walk (2 km) or 6 min. by public transport to Chalmers Conference Centre.
SGS is located within 10 minutes walking distance (1 km) from Chalmers Conference Centre. SGS has single rooms, double rooms and rooms with four beds. All rooms are equipped with shower, WC and TV. You have access to a common kitchen. Linen as well as cleaning included in the price on your departure. All guests have access to a laundry room. Due to the location with many stairs SGS are unfortunately not able to offer appropriate accommodation to disabled people. This is however not a hotel and thus they do not offer any hotel service which is why the prices are such affordable.
Please observe these are also hours for collecting your key upon arrival. Outside these hours there is no personnel in the reception. Please contact SGS beforehand, +46 31 333 63 90, if your arrival time does not coincide with the opening hours.
