Goethe University Frankfurt am Main

Frankfurt University is a lively, urban, and cosmopolitan university that provides an excellent atmosphere in which to research, study, think, and create. The university was founded in 1914 through private funding. Thus, the university owes its establishment to the link (which is characteristic for the city of Frankfurt) between dynamic research, the legacy of the Enlightenment, and the conscious commitment of the citizens of Frankfurt to the fundamentals of international trade and industry. As one of the major institutions of higher education in Germany, the university is committed to providing a wide spectrum of disciplines in research and teaching, to generating outstanding achievements, and to breaking new ground through the targeted utilization of the advantages and synergies of interdisciplinary work in research and teaching. In competition with the best national and international universities, Frankfurt University aims to fulfill its training and educational mandates through performance and open-mindedness. The university supports the practical application of knowledge based upon solid fundamental research.

Frankfurt University is located on four main campuses: Campus Bockenheim, Campus Niderrad, Campus Riedberg and Campus Westend

Some impressions from the conference site
Campus Westend

The new lecture hall building on Campus Westend hosting all plenary lectures, parallel sessions, poster sessions and the conference registration of the EUROMAR. Moreover, several computer pools will grant free access to the web in addition to gratuitous WiFi.

The Casino building on Campus Westend. A place to meet the exhibitors and to grab your complimentary lunch box.

The main lecture hall with an overall capacity of 1200 people.

Beautiful Campus Westend - also a place to recover from the hustle of the conference.
Free WiFi accessible on the entire Campus Westend.

IG Farben Building

The corporate headquarters of "IG Farben", the "IG Farben Building", were constructed at Grueneburgpark in Westend-Nord in 1928. After World War II the "IG Farben Building" became the main location of the American Armed Forces in Europe. Since 2001 it serves as one building of the new campus Westend of the Goethe University.
